Involvements in extra-curricular activities including the fine arts, athletics, clubs, organizations and community service serve as very important compliments to academics.
We encourage all students to become meaningfully involved in the wide range of opportunities that are available at Carthage Central High School.
At Carthage Central High School extracurricular activities encompass a wide variety of sports including:
Boys: football, soccer, cross-country, basketball, wrestling, swimming, lacrosse, baseball, track, and tennis.
Girls: soccer, tennis, swimming, cross-country, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, lacrosse, softball, track, and bowling.
Other co-curricular and extracurricular activities include: Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Treble Choir, Chorale, Show Choir, Stage Band, Wind Ensemble, National Honor Society, Student Government, "Clarion" (school newspaper), FFA, Future Business Leaders of America, S.A.D.D., Key Club, American Field Service, Audio Visual Club, "Carthadian" (yearbook), Quiz Team, Spanish Club, V.I.C.A., Library Club, Science Club, French Club, Weight Training Club, Army JROTC Color Guard/Drill Team and Multi-Cultural Club.
